Hi, is there any way to include a Table of Content page into a OpenLab CDS 2.4 Report? I want something like the document map the IR creates, but it should be a part of the PDF document content that can be printed, not just metadata.
The document map does create a table of contents, or at least bookmarks, in the PDF.
Here's a screenshot of the preview of some example data in a built-in sequence summary report:
Here's the pdf of the report opened in Microsoft Edge with the "Contents" displayed
Here's the same pdf in Acrobat Reader
I can't see a way to include the document map itself as a page in the PDF, if that's what you needed.
I added tags to this post to increase visibility.
I am not aware of any way to add a table of contents to a report in OpenLab CDS. The only thing that comes close is the Document Map, but as you mentioned the Document Map is just metadata that bookmarks report items on a report preview and is not actually included in a report.
Thanks for answer. Yes, I use the document map and it's a wonderful feature for electronic reports. It looks like the map really can't be included as a page in a printout, unfortunately. It's a limitation of SSRS itself. This can be worked around by importing the pdf into MS Word, but it's not a good option INHO.
