Using retention time in seconds (MHQ B.10.1 GC and GC-MS)

Hi,

I am trying to set up the RT units in seconds on MassHunter Quant in GC and GC-MS (version B.10.1).

Almost every run I have to re-align retention times, so I use linear alkanes and Retention Indices (RI) to re-align all the RTs (and for identification of unknown peaks).

I have a quite fast method (3 min of run time) and using minutes leads to RT and RI precision issues. I know I can increase the precision of the RT, but that just gives too many decimals to reach an appropriate precision.

I was hoping there is a way to use RT in seconds in Quant, but also that the "sample information", "compound information" tabs and Compounds at a glance to show seconds.

Using more decimals isn't the worst thing in the world, just a bit of a nuisance, and saying a compound elutes at second 16 is a bit more clear than minute 0.26666667.

Thank you very much for the help!
Ricardo
