Hi I have a autosampler g1313a when I connect another module with CAN port to it my Autosampler will reset then the red LED start flashing. what is the problem? thank you for help.
Red flashing LED means "Resident mode", so the firmware crashed. Does this happen on both CAN ports? You said G1313A, so it's an old module and here we could have worn out mechanics on the CAN port, so the bus is no longer terminated correctly. Did you try updating the firmware on the entire LC?
In general, the CAN bus on our systems does not support hot plugging or hot unplugging. Although it often will work, it is not a recommended procedure. Switch off the modules, before plugging/unplugging anything on the CAN port.
I updated firmware but it didn't work.
is it possible CAN's voltage have problem?
So, if the firmware on the LC stack is now updated and on the same level (from the same FW set) and the problem is still present, I would say that there is an issue with the G1313A main board. Very likely your sampler is around twenty years old.
thank you so I have to check main board.
thank you so much for your answer.
yes both CAN port are out of order.
I didn't update Firmware so I will do it and let you Know.
when nothing is connected to CAN port Autosampler will initialize but when I connect G1323B (handheld control module) to each of the port, autosampler will be reset at first and after once reset it's going to initialize but after a few seconds the FAN stops and then the red LED start flashing.
Thanks for your help.
