Problems detecting Aluminium with an ICP-OES 720

First of all, I am going to tell you my experience and the solution I found to verify it makes sense and if it has happened already to anyone.

We analyse potable water coming from a water-treatment plant and we did not achieve to obtain the concentration of Aluminium in these waters. Its value seems to be inferior to the valid low rank, it could not detect it. Besides, the nebulization fell off.

After several attempts to solve it, we found out the following solution, which includes different points:

-acification of the samples with 0.25mL HNO3 6%,

-use of an Ultrasonic Nebulizer U-500AT+ as an accessory,

-in Method Edition, we have modified Sample Introduction Parameters: Delay Sampling=30s; Pump Speed=30 rpm (before, it was 15rpm); Washing Time=40s.

With all these adaptations, we finally achieved to detect Aluminium and nebulization has improved.

Does this happen to someone before? And does it make sense the solution?
