How do I show the formula I used in my report and print them?
What software and revision are you running on? You can determine this by going to Help>About.

Sorry. I just saw this message.
We are using OpenLab Chemstation, Rev. C.01.07 SR2 255.
Also, can I use the IIF formula to use a specific formula based on the average compound results?
1) I want to use this formula if my average compound results is <98.5
= (98.5 - Average results) + (2.4 * Stdev)
2)If average results is >= 98.5 and <= 101.5
= 2.4 x Stdev
For your original question of printing out the expressions that are saved on a template, there is unfortunately no easy way to do this in OpenLab ChemStation. In OpenLab CDS there is a View Template option that allows you to see how items on the template are setup, but this is not available in ChemStation. The only place to check the expressions would be by viewing the properties of that object.
For your second question: yes, you can use table column summary calculations in an expression. You just need to save them as a variable first, which will then allow you to call those values in expressions further down on the report template:
Thanks for your reply.
I did the variable.
Can I have 3 “IIF” in a formula? I was trying but my syntax was wrong.
=IIF(Avg(Variable)>=101.5, (Avg(variable) – 101.5)(2.4*Stdev(variable),””) IIF(Avg(Variable)<=98.5, (98.5-Avg(variable)(2.4*Stdev(variable),””)
how do I add another formula?
You should be able to use a nested if statement to accomplish this.
=IIF(Avg(Variable)>=101.5, (Avg(variable) - 101.5)(2.4*Stdev(variable), IIF(Avg(Variable)<=98.5, (98.5-Avg(variable)(2.4*Stdev(variable),””))
where I assume Avg(Variable) and Stdev(Variable) are the variables that you defined in your summary calculation properties.
Thank you. This formula worked.
