After washing the seat capillary and replacing the needle on G1313 auto sampler, error sign "needle up failure" kept showing up. Could you share your thought or advice on how to fix it? MANY THANKS!
Eddie is correct, the issue can be with the needle. The issue is either that or there is a problem with the sampling unit. Likely, the issue with the transport assembly arm and gripper would not cause this error.
However, the part number for the gripper assembly is: G1313-60010
Please see user manual page 124 and user lab advisor for the maintenance position: https://www.agilent.com/cs/library/usermanuals/Public/G1329-90015_ALS-B_USR_EN.pdf
Were you seeing this error prior to replacing the needle? This error can occur if the needle is not properly installed (too high, and it can limit the "up" travel). Remove the needle and fully tighten the set screw so it doesn't catch on the guard and see if the error is resolved. If this fixes the error, reinstall the needle and be sure it is installed properly, completely down into the seat. Also ensure it goes into the seat properly. Good luck.
Thanks a lot Eddie. This issue seems different, related to the transfer assembly arm and gripper.
By the way, one of the three small gripper finger was found to break, is it easy to replace it using parts e.g. from ebay? Thanks again!
THANKS A LOT for your helpful tips!
