I am using Openlab CDS version C.01.07 SR2 . I ran into this warning error "An additional register must be added to the list of locked register" when I tried to recalibrate my calibration table. Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks!
I have seen this error in older revisions of OpenLab CDS ChemStation, but not in C.01.07. Do you receive this error when recalibrating multiple different methods, or only when recalibrating one method? If it is the latter, then my suspicion would be that the method is corrupt and you will need to rebuild the method from the default.
If you are seeing this error when editing multiple methods, then it is possible that some of the instrument's configuration files may be corrupt. You can try resetting these files by deleting or renaming them. The files will be located in the Drive:\Chem32\#\ folder, where # is the instrument number (1,2,3,4). The files I would recommend resetting are listed below:
Config.reg and Conf_off.regRapidControlInstrumentConfig.xmlChemStationPer InstrumentSettings.configInstrument.config
I followed your instructions, but the issue still remains. Do you know anything else I can do? Thanks a lot!
Just to clarify what actions you took, did you verify that this error occurs when working in multiple different methods? And then you renamed the files I outlined for the specific instrument you are having problems with?
I tried different methods. When I hit recalibrate, the error message showed up. I rebuild a new method; it did not help either. I renamed the files; still not help.
Thank you for the clarification. This is looking to be an issue with your core installation of ChemStation. Run the Software Verification Tool and see if your installation passes. You might also want to run a repair on the software.
