    LC negative peak

Our instrument 1200 series LC with Chemstation C01.08.  What would be the good practice to deal with negative peaks?  I understand that the negative peaks are shown because absorption at 254 nm < absorption at 360 nm (the reference).  Can we remove the reference when process the data after run?

I added tags to this post to increase visibility. I am also going to move this post to the Liquid Chromatography section where it is more likely to find someone able to answer your question.

I believe for some HPLC detectors it is possible to save the uncorrected signal without the reference. What type of detector are you using?
