Would you mind providing us with the software product you are using (MassHunter Quant, MSD ChemStation, OpenLab ChemStation, OpenLab CDS 2.x) as well as the revision of your software. You can usually find the revision by going to Help>About or File>About.
Also, what model MS are you using to collect the data?
so the software that I am using is called: MS Quantitative Analysis (Quant-My-Way) and is part of the Masshunter B.08.00
The Instrument is a GC-MS working with Chemstation so that I have to translate my data files using GCMS Translator.
It is an Agilent Technologies 5975C VL MSD with Triple-Axis Detector.
Hi Kristina137 - yes, because the ISTDs and quantifier/targets are defined separately in your Quant method - you can do this. However - it's probably a bad idea. SCAN acquisition is very different from a SIM acquisition - using one to adjust the quantitation of the other (as is done with ISTD quantitation) is a bad idea.
Also - EICs extracted from SCAN spectra are noisier than SIM signals.
