We need to figure out where the "fatal error is coming from"
What software are you running? What model autosampler do you have?
If you look at the sequence logbook or "open logbook" are there any hard errors pointing to any specific modules?
Do you have anything connected via the 9 pin remote cable or via CAN that is not seen in the software running the system?
Also, do you have an external degasser hooked up to the remote port? If yes, is it red? please remove the remote cable and if that is the cause, then it should error out after 8 minutes.
We are using Agilent LC (LC open lab).
The model of autosampler is G1329B.
The error is pointing to G1329B.
I don't know the answers to the last two questions, I am a new user. We do have a degasser, but the light is normal the error occurred. When error occurred, there was some noise from the autosampler, then the red ligh was on and the machine stopped.
Thank you very much for helping me solve the problem.
if you software just shows "fatal error" and the device has a red status led, you might want to use Lab Advisor which shows a more detailed reason for the error.
You can get it here: http://labadvisor.pl29.agilent.com/latest (free up to 10 modules)
Hover your mouse over the error message to see the full message:
We do have such a software on the computer. I will check the details when the error occurs. Now the machine is normal after we re-start all the modules.
Thank you very much.
