I want to export a big dataset from OL to Excel. The export tab just exports to a file format excel can not read. Is there a hidden feature I've not found?
Do u want to export your data set in excel. You can try by two options
In OpenLab CDS 2.1 processing method, there is an option in Reports format. to save result as a file. there you can select CSV OR
You can go to the reports than select Data files and report template and save as Excel.
I assume with big data set you mean a single result set? or multiple?
You can design an intelligent report to export results into an Excel xlsx file.

We use Chemstation edition, yes larger sets of multiple runs.

you should explore the use of the Intelligent Reporting. You can create a report template to export the results into Excel format.

Can you elaborate on what information you want to export to Excel? As rhonsberg mentioned in his reply, Intelligent Reports can be set up to print to .xlsx file.
