what is the percentage recovery for micro nutrient in dietary supplement ?
What you need to do is refer to the ICH guidelines if this is pharmaceutical and go to the FDA or local regulatory agency websites. It is up to you and your company (your internal QC/QA and regulatory groups) to interpret these guidelines according to your internal SOPs and form a validation protocol.
Please provide more info. What system? What are you trying to do?
The requirements for %recovery and parameters are established by regulating bodies and not instrument manufactures.
It depends on the local regulatory agency. They will also establish how to test the methods.
I am trying to do validation by using HPLC method for micro nutrient (like Folic acid, B-12 and biotin).
In pharmaceuticals industry, generally recovery are 98.0 -102% since, it is related to dietary supplement and top of the it is micro nutrient too.
so how far i can go for percentage recovery.
can i use 80-150% ?
