Power Outage, now Openlab Aq and DA won't open but Control Panel will

Hey all our power went out this morning and since, we haven't been able to open the acquisition software, it just hang on the splash screen forever. When we try Data analysis the splash screen opens then closes and software never opens. In control panel it says HPLC Not Connected, but then if I try to Close Connection at the top it gives and error the HPLC is not active.

We were in the middle of a sequence when it happened.

1260 Infinity II with OpenLab 2.4 (which apparently isn't supported any more?)

I called Agilent and they had me run the Software verification tool which passed everything.

We've rebooted both computer and HPLC. It seems to think the HPLC is still connected.

I am able to turn on the modules from Control Panel, but not open the other software.

Any ideas?? Emergency situation

Did you also try rebooting the AIC?

It is the instrument controller (AIC) that links OL to the instrument. Each instrument is connected to an AIC and we have had to reboot them after a power outage in order to cut the connection between the instrument & OL software. You can see the AIC # in the instrument details under instrument controller:

Oh gotcha, in our case the controller is directly the computer, we don't go through a network AIC that distributes to clients (desktop stations). I believe anyways as its just a standalone HPLC and desktop

OK, sorry, thought it might help. We have also had to disconnect the instrument physically from the PC, turning off all the modules on the instrument first, rebooting the PC, reconnecting the instrument and turning it back on.
