Most LC firmware are backward compatible with older versions of Chemstation drivers but you have a long out of support version, so I can guarantee they were not tested. I would doubt that the latest firmware releases are compatible with A version software.
Yeah, as I said the firmware is typically backwards compatible, but we do not test new firmware with out of support software, so it is not guaranteed. If you have issues just make sure you can role back to a compatible firmware. I would also suggest moving from the A version to a supported version of software as at some point it may be hard to get a computer and OS to run that A version.
