How can I report timed groups for both Calibration Curve and Tables in Report Editor?

I am trying to add calibration curve from Homosalate (sum of two peaks, cis-Homosalate & trans-Homosalate) and then tables with concentration calculations for samples, spikes, QC Checks, etc... in OpenLab CDS Report Editor. Does anyone know how to set this up? I can see all the information in Data Analysis I just don't understand how to configure it appropriately in the report template.

  • Hello,

I am not sure of the exact question. If you are trying to use one of the existing summary reports as a starting point, they do have filters that keep named and timed group from displaying in the tables. Named groups are compound type 4 and timed groups are 3. Also, some objects have the same filters that would need to be removed for timed groups to display. There is an object specific to timed groups that is useful in some case, although it is more for sections of the chromatogram. The table object also has a setting to remove duplicate peaks. This can be useful so that you do not see your timed group peaks multiple times in the table and only have the summary value. In standard table peak tables timed groups will not have all the same information as normal peaks so columns like RT will be empty.

  • Hello,

Okay, appreciate the response, so to get timed groups to display in the report template I need to remove the Compound_Type filter "3" and "4" from the select table/chromatogram?

To try and clarify the previous question, I am trying to get information from my timed group--Homosalate--into my Report Template. My report template (the calibration curves, chromatograms, and tables) includes components of the timed group (cis & trans homosalate) but don't include the timed group itself.

For example, when I view the report, it will show the calibration curve for cis-homosalate and trans-homosalate (which they don't have individual calibrations) so it states it doesn't exist. However, it won't generate the calibration curve for Homosalate itself.

Thus, I am wondering how I can filter my tables and calibration curve graph to exclude cis/trans-homosalate and include only the timed group if that makes more sense.

Here is a screenshot of the calibration curve in DA:

Here is a screenshot of a table summary that includes the result from the timed group:

Here's a chromatogram that identifies all peaks, but doesn't include timed group (Homosalate), but includes components of the timed group in the table:

Here is an example of a table in Report Editor that shows the components of the timed group but not the timed group itself:

  • Hello,

In the example, report I have the report template filtered to show the timed group but not the uncalibrated peaks are part of the group in both the chromatogram and the table. I have screenshots below of the filters in the standard summary report tables that need to be removed to allow timed groups to display.
