OpenLab CDS: Loading Data Files in Data Analysis After Sequence is Complete

Hello Agilent community!

I am new to OpenLab, and have what I assume to be a relatively simple problem to remedy. When a sequence I have ran is complete and I open "Launch Data Analysis with Current Project" I am faced with the data selection page. It takes a minute or two to load all the data files because it is loading every single data file (hundreds and hundreds) since April 2020 (date the instrument was purchased by my company). Basically, I am wondering if and how one may compile that data into something smaller, whether that be exporting them to some sort of in-system archive, filtering them as newest to oldest instead of oldest to newest, or simply making annual folders and moving them to the corresponding folder. Any help with this matter is greatly sought after and appreciated as it will save me time every day.

Thank you in advance,

ZS

  • Hello,

Your options will be determined by the type of system you have and the version. Do you know if you have a file-based workstation, a workstation plus, or client server installation of some kind. If you have a client server install what is the backend content manager ECM 3.x or ECM-XT? In all versions you can create new projects to store your data and, in most versions and configurations you should be able to create sub folder based on tokens to sub divide you project results if needed. Reorganizing the data will require different methods depending on the installation type as above.

  • Hi  ,

Are you still having this issue? If you are, reply to Marty's questions so we can provide advice. If you aren't, we would be interested to know how you resolved the issue.

  • Hi   , ,

    • As I understand it, you are having difficulty viewing the samples after analysis Completed to the large number of samples you have,

But I noticed something that you are viewing samples by selecting (Lunch Data With Current Project),

Actually I'm not sure if you know that if you choose Review Selected( Run in Data Analysis) this will be much easier and save you time because you will only review the required sample,

I also suggest that you make copies of the old samples every so often and put them in a folder outside the software and save it somewhere so that if you need them, you can copy them back to the folder path inside the software and review them again

      Folder Path= CDSPROJECTS/"PROJECT NAME"/RESULTS,

You can review the attached pictures,

      Best Regards,
