Issue for GPC Addon with CDS 2.7

Do you have the GPC views in the results layout? Also have you tried to reset the user settings after installation of the GPC plug-in?

Yes, all the GPC windows are available.   Reset did not work. Also tried creating new method after reset, but no change in behavior.

What version of the GPC software was installed? Did you try processing the included demo data?

This is a recent installation (last two months) and sales confirmed all parts of the order were correct.  I am not at the instrument now and can't check the version.  Did not try the demo data.

Did you run the OpenLab GPC Software Configuration after installing the GPC software? This is needed to add the GPC permissions to the project roles in CDS. Without these permissions even the everything role will not work for the GPC software.

Both installs were by Agilent FSE's.  I have details from one at this point about one fix. 

The original install of 1.7 was configured but the FSE noted that some features were grayed out.  The installed version (1.7) was replaced with 1.6.1.  They also added the localhost login account to admin privileges in Windows 11, and then ran the configuration program. 

I will have to check on these details because my message above indicated that 1.6.1 was installed.  So I don't know if the Windows settings were the key or not.  I can provide the contact information if you need more information.

In the control panel under administration see if the GPC permissions have been added to the project roles type. If you edit a role, you should see GPC permissions added to some of the role sections. As in the example below, the processing method section you should have edit gpc parameters if the software was registered after the install.

This is great information for troubleshooting.  When I see Everything permissions, I normally assume that it means"everything", but I guess that is not the case when GPC is added.

So, the everything permission will have automatically have all permissions that are available in OLSS. The issue is when you install add-on software like GPC, and some others to CDS, the add-on specific permissions will not be in the software at all until you register the new configuration.
