Unable to retrieve Snapshot data!

Hi,

I am receiving a "Unable to retrieve Snapshot data" when I try to take a snapshot in the Offline Data Analysis window.  It does create the Snapshot.D folder in the instrument number data folder, however, I cannot see it under File>Load Signal.  I can only see it if I open the folder directly and copy it into an existing subdirectory folder (i.e. Data>060122>Snapshot.D).  Then I can load it in Chemstation after that.  I setverbose 3 and created a debug log listed below.  Can anyone help me resolve this issue so that the signal will be automatically displayed in Data Analysis.

Thanks,

Erik

  •  Hi  , thank you for posting this question. Did you find out the solution for this snapshot issue? If not, would you mind providing the Windows system version (ex: Windows 7/10) and the revision of your OpenLab Chemstation (Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features > Agilent OpenLab Chemstation Edition).

  • Hi, Linh Dinh.  Thank you for the reply.  Yes, I am still experience this issue.  We are running Windows 10 Pro Version 20H2 and the OpenLab Chemstation is Rev. C.01.10 build 287.

    Thanks,

    Erik

  • Hi  , thank you for providing the software revision. You can either:

    1. Rename or delete the config.reg and config_off.reg files.

    (C:) drive > ProgramData > Agilent Technologies > chemstation > #, where # is that specific configuration.
Make sure to select “Hidden Items” in “View” to see Program Data; or

    2. Log in to SubscribeNet, download and install the OpenLab CDS ChemStation C.01.10 Update 6 (the most updated one). This issue has been addressed in Update 4.

Let me know if it works or if you have any additional questions.

  • Thank you, Linh Dinh.  First, tried renaming the config registers as you mentioned in step one but I was still unable to get the snapshot data.  So I installed the update 6 recommended in step 2.  That seemed to fix the problem because after installing the update I was able to get snapshot data.  Thank you very much for your help.

    Erik
