Hello,
Is there a way to set up a post run macro on my GCs (6850, 7890, and 8890) to load a sleep method? If so, how?
Thanks in advance.

I don't know of a macro command to set the GC to sleep at the end of a sequence, but the newer GCs (7890B, 8890, Intuvo) allow you to set up a schedule so the GC will go to sleep at a set time each day. A running sequence should take precedence over the sleep command. There is more information in the Resource Conservation section of the 7890B and 8890 Operation Manuals:
7890B: https://www.agilent.com/cs/library/usermanuals/Public/7890B_Operation.pdf
Resource Conservation can also be configured via an Agilent data system. If your GC is a 7890A, there is an upgrade available to make it a 7890A+, which has most (but not all) of the features of a 7890B.
