I'm trying to use historical GCFID traces saved as .csv files directly from chemstation, to monitor changes in retention time of key compounds in reference standards over time. There are very many samples obtained over the course of many different sequence runs. I'm trying to import the csv files in rstudio for analysis en masse, but the csv's produced by chemstation apparently include binary data, not pure text. This is preventing their import in rstudio. I'm wondering what is the source of the binary data, and whether it can be eliminated from within chemstation somehow? I'm using chemstation Rev. B.04.03-SP1.
