does a report created in CDS Openlab 2.4 work with CDS Openlab 2.3?

Are the internal template revisions in the different versions of Openlab backward and forward compatible with older or newer versions of the sofware?

I have tried to open a CC file created in 2.5 using 2.4 and the higher version is not supported in 2.4.

Does anybody know if this is this going to happen with reports?

    Hello,

    IR reports are not designed to be backwards compatible, so you will get an error message if you try and open them in an older version. Now depending on what objects you used the report might work in the older version but the template has versioning that the software checks. It is possible to edit the raw rdl file and change the RTE version to allow it to open in as older version. The problem is if you used an object that was not supported in the older version you may have issues.
