Hi Serge, thanks for your question. You should change the source assembly (reference G8043-67400 purge fiitting included in the reference ), after replacing the source you should purge with N2.
Thanks

HI Serge,
To me seems that the issue is related to the accessory, or more in general, the light is not going "back" to the detector in the engine.
Check mTest and the shape of the Igram/background (if possible), check that no high absorbance (black carbon) sample are in place and clean it and the crystal is not broken.
If it does not work Source or IR Detector Failure or misalignment might be there but looking at the Amp/Volts I guess that the source is working fine.
Just in case, the part involved are
Source Assembly (G8043-67505) ZnSe/KBr
IR Detector Assembly ZnSe/KBr (G8043- 67506/67512)
Thank You FCA, Appreciated.
Thank you Vspinell, Appreciated
Good morning Serge, today I turned on my ft ir 630 after a few months and I also encountered the same problem as you. Can I ask you how you solved it? Thank you.
Giuseppe
Hi,
I am sorry no one has answered you earlier. In general, red energy indicates that amount of IR energy getting to the detector is either too high or too low. The normal value is between 15,000 and 28,000. In your case, the value is very low. I will list a few common reasons for that below:
1. Some sample that is left behind is absorbing too much. Please check you sample accessory to make sure it is clean.
2. The gain setting is incorrect. Please click the gain adjust button and try increasing or decreasing the gain to see if it will help. Please be careful of any method gain settings that can override the default gain value.
3. The source has failed. If the source is red, then it has failed. Please reach out to your technical support team to get advice.
