I've just received the following from a student I work with, and wondered if anyone had any advice please?
"I have a silver nanoparticle solution that I’d like get a UV-Vis absorption spectrum for. However, I don’t know what else is in the solution (it’s a proprietary ink for 3D printing), but I suspect it’s a simple solvent + ligand + silver mixture. I could dry the solvent off and replace it with a known one, but I’m worried that might affect the silver nanoparticles too. I’m not sure what to do about the effect of the ligands. Do you have any advice for this situation?"
