Integration time versus averaging time

Question

To transfer a method from Cary 8454 to Cary 3500, should the integration time in Cary 8454 imply same value for averaging time in Cary 3500? I have for fixed wavelength scan 0,5sec integration time... Should I aim for a 0,5sec averaging time in Cary3500? 
 
 By doing that the scan takes almost a minute in Cary3500.

I think I found my answer in a document describing the lamp for Cary 8454, where it says times of 0,5s to 1s provides 5 to 10 data points. So the default averaging time in Cary 3500 scan mode 0.020s should work.
