What does error 9:9328SEQ indicate?

Our Cary 60 is giving an error code "9:9328SEQ Fatal Initialisation Fault reported by the instrument software while calibrating."  Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it?

  • Hello peerslabcsu:

If the Cary 60 will not initialize, i.e the status light is red, and the error splashes, the instrument has suffered a hardware failure, and will need a service call.

    If it does start up:

    1. Verify that the sample compartment is clear.

    2. Verify that the lamp is on. (Set the spec to zero order and turn the spec on its side, and look for the green glowing indicator.)

If the lamp is on, run the Instrument Performance Tests located in the Validate application of the software.

    Regards,
