This new application note shows an effective quality assessment method for lithium-ion battery (LIB) electrolytes and solvents using the Cary 3500 Flexible UV-Vis spectrophotometer fitted with the optional Cary Sipper flow cell pump. The method is based on color measurements and is suitable for production quality control of hazardous samples. This ensures safe sample handling, high throughput, and high-quality results for production-critical chemicals.
