Hi everyone,
I’ve manually created a retention index (RI) calibration file for identification in the Agilent MassHunter Qualitative 12.0 software since I encountered an error: "Access to the path D:\MassHunter\Library\NIST17.L\ROOT is denied" when trying to generate it using the "RT Calibration" software, as demonstrated in the official Agilent videos.
While using the Agilent Library Editor, I opened the NIST17 library and found that the retention index column is empty. As a result, when I perform identification, the software indicates that the difference between the calculated RI and the reference RI from the library is virtually zero. This might be because, without a specified retention index in my library, the software is effectively subtracting the calculated RI from 0, which complicates accurate identification.
Has anyone else encountered this issue? I would appreciate any suggestions on how to resolve it or how to populate the retention index column in the library.
Thank you in advance for your assistance!
