One point cal curve in Quant

I need to make a one point cal cure (6 injections of same concentarion) and I put level 1 for all the injections but when I go to edit my method I get error about the level of my std injections. Can someone help me how to get one point cal curve in Quant?

  • Hello  ,

Without knowing the exact error you are receiving I would start with the following.

Make certain that the standard samples are set to type Cal in the batch table. This can give errors if no samples of type Cal exist in the batch.

Also make certain the level name matches exactly between what is in the table and what is in the method. Level names are text, so '1' and '1 ' are not the same. The best way to do this is to use the option to Create Levels from Calibration Samples in the method editor.

Finally, when creating a one point curve, make certain to set the calibration origin setting to Include. The default is to Ignore. If you only have one standard level it will not generate an error, but no calibration curve will be generated if the origin is set to Ignore.

  • Thanks Howard, actually I figured it out from your other replies, thanks for your answers, very helpful. I just started working with Quant and It is kinda difficult for me now to work with it. My standard peak area was higher than my samples area and I got the error for calculating the concs (says quantitaion failed because the peak area is not in calibration range) so I put the origion to force. It is working now.
