Problem with GotoNISTMSprogram - Unknown Analysis software

Hi everyone!

I am trying to use the GotoNISTMS program script from Unknown Analysis, but the spectra are not loading into the NIST MS Search program. This issue occurs only on my user account on the computer. Although the NIST MS Search program runs, it does not load the exported spectra. I would appreciate your assistance with this problem. Thanks!

Hello Samadhiusc ,

The issue could be related to how the results are transferred using a temporary file, as explained in this post.

The other thing that can cause this problem is using the comma for the decimal separator. In order for the spectrum output to be in the correct format for NIST you must use the period for the decimal separator. See this post for more information.

Hello Howard,

I've tried what you mentioned, but I couldn't solve it. Actually, in Enhanced Data Analysis, the software allowed me to export the spectra to NIST. The problem is only with Unknown Analysis. When I export a spectrum to Unknown Analysis, the program opens, but it doesn't load the respective spectrum.

I appreciate your help and would welcome any further recommendations you might have!
