MassHunter Quant keeps integrating noise

Hello! I'm having trouble quantifying one of the 18 oligosaccharides in my method. This molecule elutes in a particularly noisy region. I've established limits and outliers for S/N, LOD, LOQ, RT, and so on, but MassHunter continues to integrate noise. The images below show two extraction duplicates of the same sample; while a peak was not detected in the first image as desired, it integrates and quantifies a noisy region in the second.

I am using Agile2, MassHunter Quantitative Analysis for QQQ, version 10.1. I would greatly appreciate any insights into why this is happening and how I can fix it.

Additionally, I am interested in learning whether Agilent has a comprehensive webinar/course on selecting the best integrator and optimizing integration parameters for quantitative analysis in LC-MS.

Hi Karina,

It looks like this is happening because the peaks in this region are on the edge of what the integrator recognizes as peaks. You may be able to improve the peak detection by increasing the RT window, if possible, to give the integrator more baseline. The parameterless integrators attempt to differentiate signal from noise, so widening the window may help. Some people find that another integrator works better if you are able to try a different one. The limits and outliers will not impact the integration.
