data translator not working properly

Question

Hi 
 Trying to translate chemstation data to readable files by MH. 
 Doing it for years now in the same way.. don't know what went wrong! 
 instead of translating it gives the following error

any suggestions would be appreciated

Hello roy , 
 This error is coming from Windows and usually means that there are missing files that the program needs. These could be files from the translator program or it could be from .NET or some other library that is required by the translator. 
 The first thing to try would be to reboot the PC and see if that resolves the issue. There may be some pending update that hasn't completed or some necessary system process may have gotten hung or crashed. 
 What version of the translator are you using? And what version of Windows are you running? You can use the 'winver' command to find the exact version.
