Report Builder 10.1/10.2 compatibility

Hello,

There was a question previously posted detailing report templates for Qual were no longer accepted by report builder 10.2 (Why are my pdf Qual report templates no longer readable with report builder? )

The solution to being unable to edit was to uninstall report builder 10.2, and reinstall reinstall 10.1 and when needing to edit a quant template do the reverse to use version 10.2.

Has there been any progress toward a solution to this issue?

  • Hi ,

There is now a service release that addresses this issue. You need to log in to your SubscribeNet account and download the following.

    G3336-10001 Report Builder 10.1 SR1

It is located in the MassHunter Common Software (GC/MS, LC/MS) section and may be in the Previous Version tab, depending on your entitlements. You should also be able to search and find the download.

This will allow for Report Builder 10.1 and 10.2 (which will now be seen as 10.2.1) to co-reside.

Here are the two possible install scenarios

Installation Instructions – “Clean System” with neither Qual nor Quant installed:

    1.)    Install Qual 10.0.

2.)    Install Quant 10.1 and uncheck the Report Builder 10.2 option during the Quant installer.

    3.)    Install the service release – double-click “ReportBuilder.msi.”

Installation Instructions – “Already Installed” where Qual 10 and Quant 10.1 are already installed:

1.)    From the Windows Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, uninstall Report Builder 10.2.

    2.)    Install the service release – double-click “ReportBuilder.msi.”

3.)    From the Qual 10.0 installer media, under the “ReportBuilder” subdirectory, double-click “ReportBuilder.msi” to reinstall Report Builder 10.1.

Once done, the Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs list will indicate (at least) two versions of Report Builder are installed – version 10.1 and 10.2.1.

  • how to access following? where to click.

     2) "Install the service release – double-click “ReportBuilder.msi.”

  • Hi  ,

For step 2 you need to download the Report Builder 10.1 SR1 .zip file from SubscribeNet. Extract this to your local hard disk and one of the files is named ReportBuilder.msi. Just double click on this to run the installer.

For step 3 you will need the Qual 10.0 installation media, which I believe shipped on a flash drive. Or you can download the .iso file from your SubscribeNet account. On the media is a folder named ReportBuilder and inside of that is another ReportBuilder.msi file. Double click that to run its installer.
