Hello jonathan.poucher ,
This is a known issue that will occur if you are exporting FID data from Unknowns Analysis, KRP # 645379
agilent.com/cs/library/support/Patches/SSBs/mhquant.html
The issue is resolved in Quant/UA 11.1 and later. You can reach out to your local sales and support team for options on updating your software.
Howard,
I updated my software to 12.1 but now when I try to open it there is nothign in the project folder even if I create a new folder inside of it. If I don't select a project the program crashes.
It is doing this for UA and Quant.
Hello jonathan.poucher ,
Sometimes issues like this can occur if there were non-critical faults or errors during the installation of OpenLab Shared Services.
Were all previous versions of Quant removed before this was installed? Quant cannot co-reside with previous versions. Only 12.0 can be upgraded in place to 12.1, but they would both need to be the OpenLab version.
Are you able to create projects? And do they have MassHunter components?
If you do have a project available and it still will not launch, you can try to run the Setup ECM server utility found in the Windows Start menu in the Quant tools folder. This will create all of the correct permissions and settings for projects and users even if you are not using ECM.
This was on a brand new laptop. I found Control Panel. This is a new functionality for us. I created some projects but it appears that we can only access files from the local PC. That would be a big problem for us. We have dozens of projects with lots of data that is accessed by several people. We usually store everything in a network drive. Is there anyway around this?
Hello jonathan.poucher ,
Please see this discussion for options regarding storing and processing data from a network location. This applies to all MassHunter products, including those that have implemented projects.
It is highly unlikley that we will get the OpenLab server. We don't have much in the way of compliance. Do you have any documentation the "Symbolic Links" approach?
