Greetings Agilent Community,
I’m currently experiencing a problem with compound identification using ChemStation software on a GC-MS (7890A-5975C). Regardless of the sample I analyze, I frequently encounter "No Match Found" results, as well as low-similarity matches like "nonaexacontanoic acid, propyl ester" with only 10% similarity. I'm confident that my samples do not contain this compound, and I have verified that the column is clean.
To troubleshoot, I analyzed a standard sample, which produced the expected chromatogram I typically observe during normal analysis, but the identification issue persisted with many "No Match Found" results. Additionally, I ran a set of standards containing only alkanes, and the same problem occurred, including the erroneous identification of "nonaexacontanoic acid, propyl ester" with low similarity.
I’d appreciate any insights or suggestions on resolving this issue. Thank you in advance for your help!
Best regards,
