MassHunter is not able to extract RI data from NIST14. NIST17 is the oldest library that the RI information can be extracted from. 

Currently though, even using NIST23 and Qual 12.0, Qual cannot correctly extract the RI values from NIST libraries. Most entries are rounded to the nearest thousand, showing an RI of 2 instead of 2150, for example. Qual can extract RI information normally from custom libraries.

This issue should be resolved in the next release of Qual, though there is currently no information on when this will be available.

If you want to use RI for untargeted analysis you will need to use Unknowns Analysis, though again this will only work with the NIST17 library and later.
