Custom Analyst name and file naming in Unknown analysis

Currently it is only possible to report the name of the current Windows user. A request has been made to allow for reporting the currently logged in OpenLab or ECM user in the latest version of Quant, but there is currently no information on when this feature will be available.

If you'd like to manually have an option for storing and reporting this information, there are a few different user defined or comment fields available for UA files. You could have your analyst add their name to one of these fields and then specify that in your report template.

For the report file naming, I'm not finding a way to automatically include the date in the report name. You can utilize the Post Processing feature in the reporting method along with a batch or shell script file to rename your report files. There is an example of something similar in this discussion.

Thanks for looking into this. When I was working on the report template I've noticed there is a field "Analyst ID". Currently this field is empty, do you know if it can be customised for use? Would you be able to provide more information on how to use those user defined or comment fields?

Thank you for providing the information with the post processing feature. I'm currently working on the batch script to see if I could customise something.

I'm not seeing an Analyst ID field in any of the shipping templates, but there is an AnalysisID field. I cannot find any documentation on this field. It may be a field that is no longer used or one that has not yet implemented.
