Medusa high voltage controller not responding [32]

At the start of a Quad Transmission Tune, the tune was aborted and deleted. This caused the QToF to believe it could not find a tune file and a tunepreferences.xml file. In addition, the instrument continues to give errors that the MSQTOF Medusa high voltage controller is not responding (error code 32). A smart card safe shutdown and reset did not fix this issue. Is there any way to specifically power cycle the Medusa? The manual recommends reconnecting the medusa communications cable, but it is not clear where that is.

Shutting down the smartcard, then power cycle the Qtof will reset the Medusa. Make sure the indicator light goes from blinking yellow, to blinking red or solid red before starting the software. You will get high vacuum error messages but that is normal behavior. If still having Medusa errors, I recommend calling for service.
