Autotune after cleaning ion injector

Hi all,

I am writing the internal manual for our TQ Ultivo and 6495D. After cleaning or replacing the ion injector is it advisable to do an instrument autotune or is a checktune sufficient?

Many thanks in advance

  •  Because the ion injector (ion capillary) is not necessarily calibrated as part of the autotune, I would recommend a checktune following replacement of the ion injector.

If the checktune gives an out of tolerance result, an autotune is recommended. If the autotune does not pass, there could be an issue with the new ion injector or other problems.

Of course, the frequency of autotune will depend on the SOPs of the lab.

Let me know if you have any follow up questions.
