G1312B fan replacement

Hi all,

Today I faced an issue with the fan in a G1312B unit ("Fan failed").

Despite the error came back every single time, even after restarting the instrument; cleaning and replugging it seemed to solve the issue, however, a new humming noise can be heard from the unit. I'm afraid it will fail again eventually and want to be ready to replace it and continue with my work.

The fan seems to be held in place by foam inserts without screws, however, the foam inserts are tricky to get out. What is the suggested workflow to replace the fan? Based on the picture, I was thinking it may be easier to remove the pump head on the right side, as it may require the least cable handling as compared to removing the board. Any suggestions?

Thanks.
