Instrument failure mid run with no error message

When you see the "Instrument failure" message?  Was it beside he icon in the SW?  If yes and you are using an Agilent CDS, then there is logbook which will list what the errors associated with the various modules are.  Check the logbook for further information.  If you have LabAdvisor, check the error logbook there as well as it tends to be more detailed.  It should provide further hints on which module might be causing the system failure.
