Why does RID signal shut down for no apparent reason?

This happens mainly in two different situations : when starting the RID after some days off, and during the run of a sample.

The samples are not over-concentrated. Moreover, it seems to happen more and more frequently.

Would the warning message be just normal or would something cause an increased sensitivity ? Could something be done to avoid this ?

It´s a normal warning or to phrase it differently, a notification to the user that what is seen on the sample side of the cell differs too much from what´s on the reference side.

You should read through the user manual, which is on

(can also be used if your RID is a G1362A - from an optical unit point of view they´re identical).

A purge of the reference side of the cell is recommended on a regular basis. This can even be done in an automated way.
