If the Single Quad is not ready, you won´t be able to start a run, even if the MS is not used at all. If you want to run LC-only, you need to reconfigure the system, remove the MS from the configuration and undo the remote cable.

If you don´t want to change anything in your configuration, just make the MS ready with low gas settings, but do not acquire MS signals.
Hi sschombu,
I am wondering if you could also solve this problem by configuring 2 instruments in OpenLab: one with the MS and one without. So you don't have to change the configuration every time you use it. Or should you in this case always reconfigure it?
Possibly yes, but I'm the product support engineer for LC detectors (UV, RI, FL) and therefore not fully up to date with modern MS systems and the way they're configured. It would be worth a try, but there's also nothing wrong having the MS configured without collecting signals.
