Blank Run in GC-MS

Question

Hello there, 
 I am working with an Agilent GC 8890 system coupled to a 5977B GC/MSD, with a robotic PAL RSI 120 autosampler. I am experiencing some undesirable compounds in my chromatographic column, and I would like just to run the chromatographic acquisition method, but without spending time on the incubation that is carried out by the PAL system. Is there any option to do just an instrumental blank, where only operates the gas chromatograph and I can see what I obtain from my column?

Blank, no-inject runs are sometimes helpful. Please see these two blog entries:

 The way to do it is either edit entire method to get to the window or: 
 Instrument, Inlet/Injection Types... 
 
 Click on the drop down list box for Injection Source and select either Manual or Valve/Immediate start. Manual will require you to press start on the GC. 
 
 Save the method with a specific name like normal_method_manual_injection.M . 
 And run that method.
