Can high amounts of FeOOH mess up the GC/MS instruments? pH: 5-7
Particulates? Colloidal? Dissolved in what solvent(s)? What concentration or amount? What is "high amounts"?
Always inject the smallest volume of the lowest concentration of the cleanest samples that are possible. That is the most basic advice to keep a GCMS functioning with the least amount and longest time between user maintenance.

Hi I don't know yet how the solvent will look after the extraction, i am on planning phase. Planning to do an extraction of a device on polar, nonpolar and semi polar solvents. This compound FeOOH is expected to be found in large amount on the device, worry about messing our instrument or masking other compounds.
