5973 MSD fault Status dec 448 hex 1c0

After turning on and booting of the 5973N MSD, I go to MENU and then scroll and I get MSD Fault Status dec 448 hec 1c0. What does it mean?

That specific error is not listed in the factory documentation. it might be a lower level error before the firmware starts. A 5973 - what software and communications? LAN or GPIB?

If it's LAN, can you PING it? If you can ping it, go to Agilent GCMS Configuration, Help, Check Networking and Update Firmware, and follow the directions to refresh the firmware.
