Inert Extraction Source, What is the difference on instrument sensitivity when performing Atune vs Etune?

Question

On Inert Extraction Source , What is the difference on instrument sensitivity when performing Atune vs Etune? On the Agilent Source Guide says that I can use either one but I noticed that if I perform an Atune the electron multiplier is 5times higher than when I perform an Etune, also the repeller energy is about 30 Time higher than on the Etune. Are the sensitivity for both tunes the same? Thanks in Advance

Hi LilianR!

If you have Extractor Source you should use Etune, because during Atune no voltage applied to the Ion Body and Extractor Lens. When you use Etune you don't have to add 5 times higher voltage and you can spare theese parts. The sensitivity will be kinda the same because the Tune Macro will set to provide a tuning ion abundance between 450,000 –600,000 for the base peak.
