Headspace connected to GC-MS

Hi everyone!

We have a new brand headspace connected to the GC-MS. We are using nitrogen as pressure gas and helium as carrier gas.

Our nitrogen bottle is empty, so in the meantime we received a new one, we would like to keep the GC-MS on. So, the question is, how can we indicate to the instrument that there is no nitrogen but keep the carrier gas pressure in the injector?

The issue with this configuration we have, it is that the carrier gas is connected to the headspace, so for some reason there is no pressure on the injector.

Really appreciate your help.

Cheers,

Oswaldo
