What monitor/screen to choose for the analysis of GC-MS chromatograms?

Hello everybody,

This is, somewhat, a different question: What could be the ideal monitor for GC-MS data analysis?

I do a lot of qualitative analysis where I compare chromatograms (sometimes 10) to find differences between them.

It is not always easy with a small screen and I have the possibility to acquire a new one.

I am inclined for a 32'' (16:9) but I have no idea about what should be the resolution or other parameters for the task at hand.

Any suggestions?

Monitor requirements from GCMS MassHunter install guide state 21.5" wide screen monitor with minimum resolution of 1680 x 1050.

Hi

Generally 22" lcd monitor used by user..But i think 32" also can be used.And if any resolution issue then VGA card of PC can be changed.For this, you have to consult with some IT guy.

2nd option, connect 32" lcd with HDMI cable then see..

After some research, it seems a screen of that size (32'') would need to be at least 4K-UHD in order to use it comfortably at 1-2 feet away.

The original screen that came with the GC-MS is 21.5'' with a resolution of 1920x1080.

As I explained, I would like a bigger one in order to visualize better what I'm doing during chromatograms comparison.
