GC-APCI Interface with 6495 Triplequad

Hy @ all

 

Does someone know if it is possible to use the GC-APCI Interface on a 6495 Triplequad? On the website I can only find the use for the TOF/Q-TOF. 

My idea is to use a 6495 coupled with a GC tho measure dioxins and furans. The benefit would be that I could also use the MS with an LC.

    Hi Patrick85,

    The GC-APCI interface was developed for TOF-QTOF. The kit is not supported on the 6550 Qtof. It is probably due to the hexabore ion capillary. The opening on the spray shield for a 6495, which would be comparable to a 6550 has a very large opening to accommodate the hexabore. The spray shield that comes with the kit has a very narrow opening. Hope this helps.
