Hello KBMP ,
What is the value for the baseline? Usually when it's in the 500l-600k pA, it could be a problem with the reassembly of the system after you changed the jet for example. Something in the collector assembly might short out the signal.
You can remove the collector assembly to see if the signal goes to 0. If it does, reassemble and see if it stays at 0.
If after reassembly you still have a high signal it could be a problem with the collector assembly itself.
Now, if you remove the collector assembly and the signal is still high, that is an electronic problem and you would need to reach out to your local Agilent Team.
HI CMZainea,
Thank you for your suggestion.
It worked for the baseline. Now, the baseline is zero, but the FID still fails to ignite. Do you have any suggestions for this?
